Has Amanda Detmer as Susan Rakoff, a public defender, and Ana Ortiz as Ana Rivera, a federal prosecutor.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Christine Alice Corcos,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cap-press.com\/sites\/pj\/ausa_corcos.htm\"><em>A.U.S.A.: Another Useless Stereotyped Attorney,<\/em> at Picturing Justice.\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0094419\/\">Baby Boom<\/a> (NBC, 1988-1989). Kate Jackson is a Harvard-educated lawyer who becomes the guardian for her English relative&#8217;s child, Elizabeth. Robyn Peterson plays Arlene Mandell, another lawyer at the company. The series is based on Baby Boom (1987), in which Diane Keaton plays the protagonist.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\">Bar Girls (TV pilot, 1990). Linda Hamilton plays Catherine Chandler, an assistant DA who is attacked and left for dead. Vincent (Ron Perlman), a mysterious man who lives in an underground area of the city, rescues and heals her with the assistance of his father, and together they solve crimes and eventually fall in love. The show became a cult classic.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.comingsoon.net\/news\/tvnews.php?id=82216\">The CW is planning a remake.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\"><u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbc.com\/bent\/\">Bent<\/a><\/u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nbc.com\/bent\/\">\u00a0(<\/a>NBC, 2012). Amanda Peet plays Alex, a divorced young attorney working her way up the corporate lawyer ladder.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\"><u><a href=\"http:\/\/abc.go.com\/shows\/better-with-you\">Better With You<\/a><\/u>\u00a0(ABC TV series, 2010&#8211;). Jennifer Finnegan plays Maddie Putney, a trusts and estates attorney with a white shoe firm. In the episode &#8220;Better Without a Job,&#8221; (aired April 13, 2011) the firm lays her off and she accepts an offer from a firm of &#8220;ambulance chasers.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\">The Big Easy (1996-1997). Susan Walters is Anne Osborne, the D.A. assigned to investigate crimes in N.O. Loosely based on the film of the same name. After the first season Walters left the series.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbs.com\/shows\/blue_bloods\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blue Bloods<\/a> (2010&#8211;). A police procedural set in New York City, and featuring the Reagan family. Erin Reagan is an assistant district attorney.<\/p>\n<p>Bluff City Law (NBC, 2019&#8211;). Jimmy Smits is successful Memphis attorney Elijah Strait, and Caitlin McGee is his daughter Sydney Strait. MaameYaa Boafo plays Briana Johnson, an associate at the firm.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boldandbeautiful.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Bold and the Beautiful<\/a> (CBS, ). LauraLee Bell plays Christine Blair, an attorney, on this show, and on CBS&#8217;s companion daytime drama, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbs.com\/shows\/the_young_and_the_restless\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Young and the Restless.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fox.com\/bones\">Bones<\/a>\u00a0(Fox, 2005&#8211;). Rhoda Mitra, Monica Potter, Lake Bell, Candice Bergen as attorneys for the law firm of Crane, Poole and Schmidt. Kerry Washington guests as associate Chelina Hall.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt6987476\/reference\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Burden of Truth<\/a> (CBC, 2018&#8211;). Kristin Kreuk plays Joanna Hanley, a big city corporate attorney who returns to her small Manitoba home town and immediately gets caught up in events surrounding the illness of a number of young girls in the town. Marina Stephenson Kerr plays Judge Francine Anders.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fox.com\/canterburyslaw\">Canterbury&#8217;s Law<\/a>\u00a0(Fox, 2008&#8211;2008). Juliana Margolies stars as Elizabeth Canterbury, defense attorney, wife and mother of the abducted six year old Sam. Episodes available for viewing on the net. Also stars Aidan Quinn as her husband, a law professor, and Trieste Dunn as Molly McConnell.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt9898916\/reference\">Castle &amp; Castle<\/a> (Netflix, 2019&#8211;). Set at the high-powered Lagos law firm named for its married partners, this show features Dakore Egbuson-Akande as Remi Castle, who finds herself more and more often taking on clients whose interests conflict with those of her husband Tega (formerly a law professor).<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\"><u>Century City<\/u>\u00a0(CBS TV Series, 2004&#8211;). Viola Davis is name partner Hannah Crane in this futuristic legal drama, also starring Hector Elizondo and Kristen Lehman as Lee May Bristol.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbc.com\/chicago-justice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chicago Justice<\/a> (NBC, 2017). Another Dick Wolf series. It features Philip Winchester as Peter Stone, the son of N.Y.C. D.A. Ben Stone (Law &amp; Order). Among his assistant D.A.s is Assistant State&#8217;s Attorney Anna Valdez (Monica Barbaro). This show is linked to other Dick Wolf series&#8211;Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\"><u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvguide.com\/tvshows\/christine-cromwell\/200507\">Christine Cromwell<\/a><\/u>\u00a0(TV Series, ABC, 1989). Jaclyn Smith plays an attorney on this short-lived series, which formed part of the (rotating) ABC Mystery Movie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\">Civil Wars (1991-1993). Mariel Hemingway is the star of this series about divorce lawyers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\"><u><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbs.com\/primetime\/close_to_home\">Close to Home<\/a><\/u>\u00a0(TV series, CBS, 2005-2007). Starring Jenifer Finnigan as Annabeth Chase, a prosecutor. Kimberly Elise is her direct supervisor, Maureen Scofield.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Columbo and the Murder of a Rock Star (ABC, 1991). Columbo&#8217;s target is a murderous attorney. The attorney&#8217;s law firm partner is Trish Fairbanks (played by Shera Danese), a none-too-ethical lawyer, who is willing to assist him after the fact. NB: Danese is Falk&#8217;s wife, and also guest stars in Columbo: A Trace of Murder and several other Columbo movies.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\">Columbo: Ransom for a Dead Man (1971). Lee Grant plays attorney Leslie Williams, who kills her elderly husband Paul. Crafty detective Lieutenant Columbo (Peter Falk) is on the case. This made for TV movie was the second Columbo pilot; the first was Prescription: Murder (1968), starring Gene Barry as a murderous psychiatrist and Falk as the detective.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Columbo: A Trace of Murder (1997). A woman and her boyfriend try to frame her husband for murder. Donna Bullock plays the woman&#8217;s lawyer. Kymberly Newberry plays the district attorney.<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\">Common Law (TV series, 1996). A WASP and an Hispanic, both graduates of Harvard Law School, marry and open a practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">The Conners (TV series, ABC, 2018-2025). A spinoff of\u00a0<em>Roseanne,<\/em> featuring the characters from the original show, including Dan Conner, Roseanne&#8217;s husband, Becky, Darlene, and D.J., her children, Jackie, her sister, and various additional family members.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Fame, Flying Fists, and Cold Feet.&#8221; Season 7, episode 2. First aired April 2, 2025. Jane Lynch plays Jean, an attorney Dan hires to represent him in a lawsuit against the pharmaceutical company that manufactured the drugs that Roseanne took in the overdose that led to her death.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Danny Boy, the Interview, the New Hire, and the Hanging Chad.&#8221; Season 7, episode 4. Julianne Nicholson, Milena Govich also star.<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\">The Cosby Show (1984-1992). Centers on an upper middle-class African-American family living in Brooklyn. Phylicia Rashad plays Clair Huxtable, an associate, then a partner, at a prestigious Philadelphia law firm, as well as a mother of five and wife to Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable (Bill Cosby), a successful OBGYN. Eventually oldest daughter Sondra attends law school and becomes an attorney as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial Narrow;\">Cosby (1996). Based on the UK tv series &#8220;One Foot in the Grave,&#8221; and starring Bill Cosby and Phylicia Rashad. Rachel Bloom stars as Rebecca Bunch, an Ivy law school graduate with a choice law firm job who gives it all up to chase her long-ago summer camp crush, who now lives in West Covina, California. Also starring Vincent Rodriguez III as Josh Chan, the unlucky object of Rebecca&#8217;s affections, Donna Lynne Champlin as Paula Proctor.<\/p>\n<p>CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000-2015). Palmer Davis plays Margaret Finn, a defense attorney.
