The former&nbsp;queen, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.koninklijkhuis.nl\/globale-paginas\/taalrubrieken\/english\/members-of-the-royal-house\/her-royal-highness-princess-beatrix\/education\/\">Beatrix<\/a> (born 1938, acceded 1980 on the abdication of her mother Queen Juliana) received a law degree from the University of Leiden. Her brother in law <a href=\"https:\/\/www.koninklijkhuis.nl\/globale-paginas\/taalrubrieken\/english\/members-of-the-royal-house\/professor-pieter-van-vollenhoven\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pieter van Vollenhoven<\/a> also holds a law degree from the University of Leiden. Princess Beatrix&#8217;s&nbsp;son <a href=\"https:\/\/www.koninklijkhuis.nl\/globale-paginas\/taalrubrieken\/english\/members-of-the-royal-house\/prince-constantijn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prince Constantijn<\/a>&nbsp;also holds a law degree from Leiden University.
