ABC To Air New Legal Drama Based On the Life Of Isaac Wright, Jr.
ABC has ordered a legal drama, For Life, from Hank Steinberg and 50Cent (Curtis Jackson). The series is inspired by the life of Isaac Wright, Jr., convicted in 1991 of drug charges. He spent years in prison educating himself in the law and helping other inmates craft their own legal defenses. After obtaining his own freedom, he earned an undergraduate degree, and then a law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law (2007). He wasn’t admitted to the practice of law until 2017; the New Jersey Bar took nearly ten years to investigate his fitness to practice. Read more about his road to admission in this Medium article.
