Critical Legal Studies Conference 2020 Postponed
From the Organizers of the Critical Legal Conference 2020:
It is with heavy hearts that we are postponing the Critical Legal Conference 2020. The conference was scheduled for 3-5 September 2020 at the University of Dundee in Scotland, but with the widespread impacts of Covid-19, and with many universities (and countries) stopping travel, it is no longer possible to hold the event on those dates.
To give a little certainty in these uncertain times, and to help maintain the ongoing vitality of the CLC and the communities that surround it, we have cancelled the September 2020 dates. But all is not lost: we are simply skipping a year, and will still host the conference in Dundee—on 2-4 September 2021.
Postponing by only a few months does not necessarily solve current uncertainties and would put the event at an unexpected time of year when many might not be able to attend as they normally would. Postponing for the full year will enable a higher degree of confidence that the event will be able to take place as planned.
The theme will be the same, only the dates will change. We have also re-confirmed all our venues and (most of) our plenaries for the new 2021 dates. We will keep this website updated as things progress towards September 2021 —so make sure to check back.
We sincerely hope you are keeping safe well in these unprecedented times, and look forward to the possibility of welcoming you to Dundee next year.
