Crime TV To Watch While Sheltering at Home In the Time of Covid 19 @TheAtlantic

Sophie Gilbert lists twenty crime shows that you might not have seen and that are worthy of attention during this enforced stay-at-home period. Among her suggestions are more well-known shows such as Luther, the police procedural starring Idris Elba, Endeavour, the prequel explaining Inspector Morse’s early years, and Broadchurch, and lesser known but worthy series such as The Fall, starring Gillian Anderson as a police officer trying to catch a killer before he strikes again, The Night Of, a miniseries focusing on a defendant trapped in the criminal justice system, and ZeroZeroZero, an Italian police procedural. Read Ms. Gilbert’s essay, written for The Atlantic, here.

One of Ms. Gilbert’s picks is Peaky Blinders, about which Peter Robson has written elsewhere. See Peter Robson, Britian: The Justice System on TV, in Ethnicity, Gender, and Justice: Law and Justice on TV (Rowman & Littlefield, 2018). The paperback edition is due out this month.
